Jiffy Lube Convention 2014

As you may be aware the Jiffy Lube convention was this past week in San Diego.  It was a good week with loads of information about what the future holds for the Jiffy Lube brand.  One of the takeaways from this year’s convention was the overwhelming offer of support from Shell to the franchisee system in many key areas of the business including new store development, operations and training. 

At every convention, on the last night, there is an awards dinner to honor the top performing franchises in the system for their hard work during the past year.  One of the most coveted of all these awards is known as the “Operations Award” and is inscribed as follows:

“In recognition of this franchisee’s outstanding performance in the areas of customer service, procedural integrity, and overall commitment to quality.” 

I am extremely proud to announce that Broadbase was chosen as JLI’s Operator of the Year for 2013.  Congratulations to all of you especially the operations team headed up by Phill Dosier.  This award would not have been possible without the support of every staff member.  Believe me this is quite an achievement as there are a number of top notch operators in the Jiffy Lube system.

Also, I am very proud to announce that one of our own, Dave Kenny from Store 3172 in Rocklin, was one of only 3 nominated for the Store Manager of the Year award.  Just to size this up, there are roughly 2000 stores in North America and our guy was one of 3 nominated.  Yeah, that’s pretty good!!!  Unfortunately Dave did not win, but just being nominated is absolutely on the same level as winning.  Please give Mr. Kenny a round of applause and congratulate him for this honor.  He earned every bit of it.

The future is bright for us as Jiffy Lube continues to be the consumer’s first choice for quick oil change and soon to be brakes and repairs!!  BBI will continue to be an innovator and early adopter of new programs and initiatives which we believe will benefit us and the system in terms of customer counts and overall brand loyalty.  Hats off to you, BBI!  This award is the product of your hard work and commitment to the company and to the brand.  We thank you all so very much.
